In this post I will present my survey. What tools I used to create it and a brief description of the process. The link to my survey is below:


The entire survey was created using Google Forms, a free survey software that can be used via a web browser. I included 13 questions in the survey, of which 2 were about Demographic, at this point I have 21 responses. Thanks to Google Forms, the whole process is seamless, the interface of this software is very easy to use. What's more, the software automatically creates graphs, and you can download the entire survey in the Excel version to analyse it further. I shared this survey in class and also sent it to my friends.

This post is a further analysis of the data. The first question is important in that it shows the percentage of respondents who even know what Big data is, with only 57.1 per cent (12 people) answering in the affirmative. 23.8 % (5 people) are not sure and the rest have no idea what Big data is. In a follow-up question, those who did not know what Big data was or were unsure most replied that they were not sure. However, interestingly one person who knows what Big data is answered that it is useless. And three people responded that Big data is useful, despite their lack of knowledge. This question is related to the next one, we can deduce whether people who know what Big data is are afraid of it or whether it is more people without knowledge of it who feel a sense of fear towards it. Software Example

As a test of Excel's capabilities, I decided to create a Gantt Chart and in this post I will try to present the most important functions I used and the final result. This is an update to my Gantt Chart from previous posts, so from now on I will be using it.  The first thing I have entered is the starting data, in the picture it shows the starting data on the left and I start to create a calendar using a formula that makes each week start from Monday which makes it easier to enter the data. I continue to create months and years I now format the cells and create tables to make everything look clear. I am now starting to add data to the cells, formatting the appearance in such a way that everything looks as good as possible to me, so that subsequent work with the Gantt Chart is quick and easy. Introduction

More introduction ladies and gentlemen Why I started studying at DMU? There are a few reasons. I already lived in Leicester so relocation and finding myself in new place was not a problem. I went through it 2 years ago when I moved from Poland to Leicester. With my girlfriend we decided to move,  because she wanted to study here. There are organizations in Poland, that help people wanting to study aboard to achieve this. She went thought application process with them and so did I. It was so much easier then doing it on my own.  I am still not entirely sure whether I chose the right course for me, but I hope after this year I will have better understanding of Computer Science. It might help me in choosing the right path to my future career. I decided on Computer Science because it includes all of the IT studies, it is like "the mothership" of them.
